For the past couple of weeks I have felt that my social life has returned to pre-pandemic levels. Both WI’s are now meeting indoors and the Craft groups and Book club are back to meeting face to face rather than over Zoom. It is so much nicer to be able to meet in person as it is easier to hold a proper conversation with a person rather than it being dominated by a couple of people as happens on Zoom. Also creating something with other people is much more satisfying. There is still an element of social distancing for these groups and the number of people attending is lower than before so I don’t mind going along.
I have also
gone to the cinema with family members. We have gone to the cinema before but
only the one household. This time it was with my 3 brother in laws and niece.
It was something we used to do on a regular basis especially if it was a Marvel
or DC film. This time it was Suicide Squad. ( A bit violent and gory for my
liking).
Have you
been able to socialise again and what have you been doing or looking forward to
doing?
It sounds like you've had a lovely week. I have been socialising a little more, I went on a picnic yesterday with some other Mum's and children. I don't like going to indoor places much though, I still feel a bit nervous. Life is slowly returning to normal though.
ReplyDeleteIt's a strange feeling to be doing something that we never used to think much about before the pandemic. I guess we will never take some things for granted as much as before.
DeleteIt sounds like you have been having loads of fun. It is nice to socialise again face to face and not just over Zoom. I have been seeing a few more people and it has been nice x
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have been enjoying the in-person meetings. I haven't been to any in-person meetings as of yet, but would really like to. A craft group sounds like so much fun but it doesn't sound like a Zoom meeting would work for that. Hope you have a nice week next week.
ReplyDeleteIt’s so nice to start being able to be sociable again isn’t it and to feel like life is becoming more normal. Glad you enjoyed seeing The Play That Goes Wrong – it’s on my list to try and see at some point. I’m with you on feeling more comfortable in places where there are still some precautions being taken. #WotW
